My undergraduate concentration was in fiber arts, and it was during this time that I became better acquainted with plants. Natural dyes were a source of color for many of my fabrics. This collection displays works created both from plant-dyed textiles as well as salvaged fabrics. I often portrayed plants and animals in my wall hangings as they’re a great inspiration to me. In 2017 I began shifting my work off the wall and into the 3rd dimension, moving from flat, pictoral art to installations. The plants and the fabrics came along in this transition, now presented in a new way.
